Two thirds of New Zealand's 420,000+ family carers are women, a statistic that deserves to be recognised, celebrated, and respected, says Carers NZ.
Its She Cares campaign launched at midnight on International Women's Day, 8 March, to provide information and recognition to New Zealand's women carers throughout 2018.
Community organisations are being encouraged to host local MeetUps for carers, and Carers NZ will distribute 5,000 free infopacks containing key resources and some fun surprises.
